 Beckelew Spring (water fall) about ten miles from our house, yesterday, April 22, 2010. It's been an very wet winter in the high country of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. The area has received over 8 inches of moisture in the form of rain and snow since last December. The most recent snowpack and stream flow forecasts show these areas in excess of 220% of normal. It is awesome to hear this water flowing out of the mountains in the Spring run off. Joy-Vernon |

 The first Grosbeak of the season on our porch today, April 24, 2010...they "summer" here. Yesterday & today, I saw the first hummers and the Scott's Orioles are back & drinking out of their Oriole feeder, even though it is snowing off and on! Joy-Vernon |

 Westie, Eastie and Darby. We think Darby has fathered Eastie some real puppies. Eastie will be an exceptional mother if she nurtures real puppies half as well as she did her two faux litters of pea-green and orange plastic dragons etc. Joy-Vernon |
