![]() This was on Hwy. 117 (from the car). I took it because of the almost full moon rising to the right in this photo. Joy-Vernon |
![]() Our drive was ending with an awesome sunset. I took this from our moving car...almost home to the White Mountains. Joy-Vernon |
![]() "Nose to Nose" or "Mother's Nose Best" Darsie, 16 days old with her mother, Eastie. Joy-Vernon |

![]() A few days ago, after we had a very short rainfall, all our birds decided to take baths in our fountains and bird baths. I particularly got a kick out of this Black-Headed Grosbeak couple. In this photo the female is taking a bath, while the male looks on...but there is also a female Lesser finch at the bath. Joy-Vernon |
![]() She, the female Grosbeak is really enjoying her bath, but...her mate is giving the finch (who is still hanging around), the evil eye. Joy-Vernon |
![]() This is much more than just the evil eye...the male Grosbeak appears to really be telling the finch to get lost! Joy-Vernon |

![]() So, now that the female Grosbeak took her bath & the male Grosbeak got rid of the finch...it is his time to have a completely private bath! Joy-Vernon |
![]() He is having a nice bath without an audience. Joy-Vernon |
