Last night, January 29, 2010, we had what the experts call a "wolf moon" or for us common folks, the biggest, & brightest full moon of the year. So why is it called a wolf moon? It's actually one of the Native American names given to different moons. Tonight's full moon also happened to be the first of the year, an event known as the wolf moon, also. It's was apparently 14% wider AND 30% brighter than a full moon you would view in August. That's a pretty significant difference. Joy-Vernon
