Eastie, Westie & I watched one of the "Peter Rabbits" dig out the seed block. Then the Juncos wanted to eat it, too, even though there are plenty of feeders for them. 1/23/10 Joy-Vernon

It was too funny when Eastie & Westie were excited to have me put their snow suits on so they could go play in the snow...But, when they got to the steps of our porch, they stopped. It was a "no-go"... the snow was too deep...they just stood there and looked at it. Joy-Vernon

Two Juncos, (a "couple"?) with our view of the White Mountains today. We only got one snow fall here where we are in Vernon. It started at midnight of January 22nd. Joy-Vernon

Where we live in Vernon, we received no snow until midnight on January 22, 2010. We ended up with about 16-20" by morning. Joy-Vernon

This Canyon Towhee was on our porch when we returned to Vernon 1/20/10 We have lots of Canyon Towhees year round. Joy-Vernon

Eastie & Westie were thrilled to come back to Vernon and have snow on the ground. Eastie went completely "nuts", running/racing back and forth across our yard by herself. Joy-Vernon
 
Our return to our beloved White Mountains today from Albuquerque. We never saw snow until we returned to Vernon today, January 20, 2010. This is traveling on Hwy. 60 between Socorro, N.M. & Magdalena. Joy-Vernon
