At this time of year, I can take photos of hummingbirds at any time of the day from our porch. I took this one today, 8-8-10. This is a female; a female Broad-Tail? I remain the amateur "Bird Lady of Vernon". We have had this fountain for 3-4 years, but this is the first summer the finches have discovered it. Five finches at a time bath in it. They love the streams of water flowing over the sides.
