![]() It never fails to remind me of the old barn on Hwy. 260 (White Mountain Blvd.) when I see the remaining silo. Joy-Vernon |

![]() A photo I took several years ago of the old homestead/barn that was a "Landmark" on White Mountain Blvd. Joy-Vernon |
![]() I spoke with the "man with his horses" & asked him if he minded my taking his photo. From the grin on his face, his answer was obvious. He told us both horses were his...that the Palomino had never been ridden...he was breaking it in by walking it around the "neighborhood". The name on his shirt says, "Mike" with Navopache. If anyone knows Mike, please show him his photo on White Mountain online. Joy-Vernon |
![]() While taking a photo of the old homestead right on White Mountain Blvd. this man & his horses rode by! He had no idea anyone was photographing him. (5-14-10) Joy-Vernon |

![]() Lovely, we who live "On the Mountain", still enjoy the ambiance of the 1870s original white homesteaders/farming land. This is looking at White Mountain Blvd. (Hwy. 260)...the main street for Show Low, Pinetop/Lakeside. Although the old barn collapsing on this property was front page news & we all miss it...the "farming" past of Lakeside is still evident here and there. May 14, 2010 Joy-Vernon |
