A Chickadee in the forefront of the view from our porch of the White Mountains after our recent snow fall. October 28, 2009 Joy-Vernon	There were two different herds of elk right on Hwy 260 on both sides of the hotel that was built where the old barn was torn down. They must realize it is hunting season and no one would be allowed to shoot them in the town of Show Low. There were about 40 cow-elk and several bulls.
