On July 22, 2009 we discovered this "Mama Robin" had fledglings in a nest she has used over and over for years right above a door way of our friend's house in Pinetop. She was quite tame, sitting just feet from us and her nest. Joy in Vernon	This is the Robin's nest that has been used over and over. It is right over the front door. Joy in Vernon	This is a female Bullock's Oriole at our Oriole feeder that is hung on our porch with seven Hummingbird feeders. The Orioles drink the same sugar water nectar the Hummers drink, but the Oriole feeder has a perch placed for bigger bird. The Hummers drink from the Oriole feeder and the Orioles still drink from the Hummingbird feeders! Photo taken on July 22, 2009 Joy in Vernon
We have about 25 male Hummers flying in a frenzy around our seven feeders on our porch. They are being territorial, chasing each other. It is nice to see a female calmly drinking at a feeder.
