Woodland Park/Lake, behind the restaurant on Hwy 260 where we ate lunch today...gorgeous day....a high of 75 degrees. We went so I could take photos of Yellow-Headed Blackbirds and that I did! Joy in Vernon

I watched this Mallard couple eating and then pruning before settling down for a nap The Yellow-Headed Blackbird was right there with them. Woodland Lake, Pinetop April 21, 2009 Joy in Vernon

Early Spring (2009) At Rainbow Lake Photo By Tom Joad Of Lakeside AZ

There were 8 of these Yellow-Head Blackbirds at a time in my view at Woodland Lake, but I wanted to get closeups. The Blackbirds don't get the white marking (like this one has) on it's wing until it is at least a year old. Joy in Vernon

This is an unusual camping destination for Easter Weekend, but we had a BLAST!!! We spent two days at the Opal Hill Agate Mine just west of Blythe, California. The weather was perfect and the Fire Agate was plentiful! Here are a few pieces of our Fire Agate loot that we excised from the mountain at the Opal Hill Mine. We actually came home with a "Bucket Full!" I hope that the Rock-hounders enjoy the photos! Gail Morongo Valley, California
