![]() Anacapa rock seen through Anacapa Arch. The island 14 miles off the coast of Oxnard and about 1000 meters off the south east tip of Anacapa Island. Anacapa is one of the 8 California Channel Islands, Catalina Island being the most famous. Anacapa was first drawn in 1854 for the U.S. Coastal Survey by James McNeill Whistler.
